Peter Marzitelli Custom KNives and knife making

Design
These knives are designed to fit well in the hand. All corners are rounded and smooth for comfort, yet each design has a well defined finger guard and thumbramp to ensure a confident grip. Not only are these knives built for strength, they are also very light and compact.

Construction
Peter Marzitelli Custom Knives are built with the user in mind. They are working knives and as such only the best materials and construction techniques are employed.

  • All knives have titanium springs and liners
  • Knives with bolsters have a second canvas micarta reinforcing back-up liner for added strength
  • All handle liners, scales and bolsters are epoxied, then screwed together for a permanent bond
  • All natural handle materials are either sealed or stabilized to protect and prolong life
  • During the heat-treat process, all blades are double tempered to ensure a good, tough and non-brittle blade that will flex
  • Only the highest grades of cutlery steel are used, such as: CPM S30 V, ATS-34 and Stainless Damascus

Finish
One of the most unique aspects of a Peter Marzitelli custom knife is the final finish. All blades, bolsters and handle scales are hand rubbed to a smooth satin finish for a true 'hand-made' look and feel. (NOTE: clip comes in satin or bead blast finish)

"Marz Groove"
One of the most unique features of the Peter Marzitelli Custom Knives is a simple blade opening system he invented called the "Marz Groove". It allows one to open the folder with one hand just by placing the thumb in the milled out groove at the top of the blade. This system is extremely efficient and easy to deploy.

So... "get in the groove!"
